A crunchier, more number heavy, or more complex way of playing is found in <strong>Extended<\/strong> Play while <strong>Basic<\/strong> is not designed to be \u201clacking\u201d but to be a simpler approach to playing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rolling<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>BSC<\/strong><\/td><td>Roll 2d10 and take the highest combination<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>EXT<\/strong><\/td><td>Cards. Pull from a shuffled card deck, compare to <strong>Card Chart<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Combat Tiers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>BSC<\/strong><\/td><td>Weaker enemies are 1 Tier down, stronger enemies are 1 <strong>Tier<\/strong> up. Beast Lords and Dragons are always an additional 1 <strong>Tier<\/strong>.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>EXT<\/strong><\/td><td>Refer to Enemy Charts for level difference and adjust <strong>Tier<\/strong> based off of the Enemy to Player level difference. Enemies have 10 possible <strong>Tiers<\/strong>. The <strong>Warden<\/strong> can increase the <strong>Tier<\/strong> difference past one.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Combat Priority<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>BSC<\/strong><\/td><td>Aside from Surprise situations a 2d10 roll off can determine Enemy vs Player side priority. Players can go in the order of their own strategy<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>EXT<\/strong><\/td><td>Dice. Each Player and Each Enemy roll a 2d10 for their order position in an encounter.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Weapon Durability<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>BSC<\/strong><\/td><td>During a battle where a Player rolls a 00 Critical Fail, the Weapon they are using is mishandled and dropped, requiring an action to retrieve.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>EXT<\/strong><\/td><td>During a battle where a Player rolls a 00 Critical Fail, Weapons or Armor run the risk of damage. The<strong> Warden <\/strong>can have the Player roll for damage. An A,B,or C roll may mark or ding a Rusty or Basic Weapon\/Armor. A failed roll will destroy a Rusty Weapon\/Armor or a failed roll will render a Basic Weapon\/Armor unusable until it can be maintained properly during a Full Rest.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lighting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>BSC<\/strong><\/td><td>In lowlight to no light conditions, unless darkened by magic, a Players candle, lamp, or torch can give the Party a field of vision of, perhaps, 5 Squares<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>EXT<\/strong><\/td><td>Not only increase attention to limiting the Players point of view with obstacles and shadows, but also account for the expendable nature of their light source. Over the course of an adventure count a d10 from 9 down to 0 for every 15 minutes spent lit, until the light source is replaced.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Death and Stress<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>BSC<\/strong><\/td><td>In an unfamiliar environment Players have a 1 <strong>Tier Stress<\/strong> Penalty<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>EXT<\/strong><\/td><td>A Player who dies in a <strong>Stress<\/strong>ful environment may be Reincarnated, but gains an additional <strong>Tier<\/strong> of <strong>Stress<\/strong> upon Reincarnation. The new <strong>Stress<\/strong> Penalty stays with the Player permanently until they face their fear by returning to a similar environment (and enter that location with what would then be 2 <strong>Tier<\/strong>s of <strong>Stress <\/strong>Penalty if they are unfamiliar with that environment)<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dice Roll Additions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>BSC<\/strong><\/td><td>2d10 handles all rolls with modifiers<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>EXT<\/strong><\/td><td>The Warden and Players can agree to replace or include all other die styles within the game, some people are addicted to different types of dice. Modifiers can be replaced with rolls, instead of a flat modification number.
