Players can go in the order of their own strategy.

At Warden’s discretion play will proceed as Side A then Side B (fastest) or 1 Player then 1 Enemy. In the majority of battles a whole side can take their turn but if the situation or story calls for it, focus more on individual encounters by running 1 Player then 1 Enemy turn. This works for hack and slash situations where an attacked enemy can immediately respond with their turn or vice versa.

Turn

Players have 3 Actions they can take and can do them however they see fit (ex. Move, move, attack… or move, attack, move…, etc.)

During an attack roll 2d10 and take the highest combination then add any applicable bonus. The targeted Enemy will do the same. If the Player has the higher number they successfully attack- add the numbers together for the damage. If the Enemy has the higher number they successfully defend.

Example A: Player rolls 57, Enemy rolls 88. The attack fails and the Enemy has successfully defended

Example B: Player rolls 82, Enemy rolls 30. The attack is successful. 8 added to 2 (the Player’s number) is 10. The Enemy receives 10 damage.

Magic attacks are done using the appropriate amount of Actions to then have the Player roll based on the Degree and Tier needed. Magic spells are not a roll against an Enemy roll, they are the Player rolling to meet a target number.

Example: Player wants to cast a 4th degree Wizardry spell as an attack. Warden sees it is doable and within the Adventurer’s Training. The Player will need to roll 2d10 and get a 40 or above (4th degree spell) or it will not work and have possible negative repercussions. The Player rolls a 77, add the two die and the spell does 14 damage to targets within the spell’s range.

ARE YOU READY TO FIGHT!?
