(Some may be marked in \u201c10\u2019s\u201d, it\u2019s best to just use two regular 0-9 dice)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Tiers<\/strong><br><strong>Tiers<\/strong> are penalties and bonuses in increments of 10. While Players may have Training Abilities or Weapons\/Armor that raise their rolls by factors of 1, adjusting <strong>Tiers<\/strong> is in factors of 10. The <strong>Warden<\/strong> adjusts <strong>Tiers<\/strong> in order to reflect the difficulty of a roll.<br><br><strong>Grades<\/strong><br><strong>Grades<\/strong> reflect the quality of successful rolls. A common school grading system uses <strong>A<\/strong>, <strong>B<\/strong>, <strong>C<\/strong>, and <strong>F<\/strong>.\u00a0<br><br><strong>A:\u00a0 90 to 99<\/strong><br><strong>B:\u00a0 80 to 89<\/strong><br><strong>C:\u00a0 70 to 79<\/strong><br><strong>F:\u00a0 00 to 69<\/strong><br><br>The <strong>Warden<\/strong> needs to decide what <strong>Grade<\/strong> is needed to accomplish what is needed. There are times where an <strong>A<\/strong> (90-99) may be needed to be successful. (<em>A bar patron is only going to be impressed with your darts game if you get a bullseye<\/em>) There are times where there may be varying levels of success. (<em>Your musical performance blows everyone&#8217;s minds with an <\/em><strong><em>A<\/em><\/strong><em> but with a <\/em><strong><em>C<\/em><\/strong><em> no one really enjoys your music, but you did play. With an <\/em><strong><em>F<\/em><\/strong><em> you are out of key and drop your instrument and actively offend the audience- complete failure.<\/em>)<br><br><strong>A<\/strong>: Great<br><strong>B<\/strong>: Good<br><strong>C<\/strong>: meh\u2026OK<br><strong>F<\/strong>: Fail<\/td><td><strong>Dice Rolling<\/strong><br>Rolling <strong>00<\/strong> is a Critical Fail with a major negative consequence.Rolling a <strong>99<\/strong> is an Auto Hit Critical Strike that will Auto Kill anything your <strong>Tier<\/strong> or below. Above your <strong>Tier<\/strong> it is double damage.<br><br><strong>Combat<\/strong><br><strong>Attack<\/strong>:\u00a0 Roll 2d10, take the highest combination, add your modifiers<strong>Defend<\/strong>: Roll 2d10, take the highest combination, add your modifiersIn a tie the Defender wins<br>Players roll in order to AttackPlayers roll during their Defense.<br><br><strong>Magic<\/strong><br>Casting is a roll of the Caster&#8217;s ability, not usually against a target. Depending on the Degree of spell being cast, the Caster will roll 2d10, take the highest combination, and add modifiers in order to reach or get above the Degree cast (a 7th Degree spell needs a roll of 70 and above.) With some spells the <strong>Warden<\/strong> can let the player know what <strong>Tier<\/strong> of difficulty is needed and thus what Degree of spell needs to be cast to be successful.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Warden Combat<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td>If an Enemy is lower <strong>Tier<\/strong> than the players, give them 1 <strong>Tier<\/strong> penalty on their rolls, if an Enemy is a higher <strong>Tier<\/strong> than the players, give them a 1 <strong>Tier<\/strong> bonus against the Players.<br><br><em>Example of Same <\/em><strong><em>Tier<\/em><\/strong><em>&#8211; a small Slime (<\/em><strong><em>Tier <\/em><\/strong><em>1) is playing a Level 1 Player. Slime rolls 48, Player rolls 76, Player wins. How much damage? 7 plus 6 is 13.<\/em><br><br><em><em>Example of Different <\/em><strong><em>Tier<\/em><\/strong><em>&#8211; a Kobold (<\/em><strong><em>Tier<\/em><\/strong><em> 3) is playing a Level 1 Player. : Kobold rolls 88, Player rolls 89, Kobold wins.<\/em><br><em>The Kobold is a <\/em><strong><em>Tier<\/em><\/strong><em> higher so the Kobolds roll is really a 98, (max is 99). How much damage? 9 plus 8 is 17.<\/em><\/em><\/td><td><em>Example of <\/em><strong><em>Warden\u2019s<\/em><\/strong><em> perspective in Combat-<\/em><br><br>If the Players are lower <strong>Tier<\/strong>&#8211; your rolls are <strong>Tier<\/strong>ed up, the players roll as usual.<br>If the Players are a higher <strong>Tier<\/strong>&#8211; your rolls are <strong>Tier<\/strong>ed down, the Players roll as usual. With modifiers the player will have much better chances. The <strong>Warden<\/strong> can adjust <strong>Tiers<\/strong> based on their own expectations.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Editors points<\/strong>:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s more fun rolling high and we achieve this with the weighting towards the high end of the double digit numbers. There is also the fun of the brief moment where a player rolls a 39 thinking they failed for a split second before their brain realizes it\u2019s actually a 93 and they succeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re also used to an Grading Scale where 90\u2019s are A\u2019s, 80\u2019s are B\u2019s, and 70\u2019s are average. It is easy to \u201ceyeball\u201d if someone did a \u201cB\u201d job on a check or an \u201cA+\u201d job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In play against an opponent the rolling is scaled on the opponents so the player can still roll the same as they always would- the <strong>Warden<\/strong> will adjust <strong>Tiers<\/strong> on their end to determine a hit and damage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TG System- Tier and Grade Rolling System All rolls use 2 10-sided dice each marked 0 through 9.
