They have an aura, perceptible to high level magic users, that signifies a connection with a deity or divine presence. This aura can appear at any age and for many is a deeply personal emotional pull akin to feeling the desires and will of another alongside their own. Many Blessed at a young age are recruited and sent to training schools throughout the continent to one day join the Adventurer\u2019s Guild.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With roughly 10 percent of the population are <strong>Blessed<\/strong> by a deity, there are a wide variety of social norms over the difference between <strong>Blessed<\/strong> and <strong>Unblessed<\/strong>. In many regions those with the ability to become <strong>Adventurers<\/strong> are held in high regard and are expected to use their abilities for the common good. Some regions have built elitist hierarchies where the <strong>Blessed<\/strong> hold all political and social power over the populace. Some regions use the <strong>Blessed<\/strong> as tools for their military regimes with all <strong>Blessed<\/strong> being identified and relinquished to the state for military servitude. There is even a diversity of opinions within the slavetrade with some regions refusing to enslave the <strong>Blessed<\/strong> on social or religious grounds while other regions find the <strong>Blessed<\/strong> to be of high value as slaves. There are also regions where the blessed are outcastes viewed as a cursed people or as a threat to the equality of the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Common effects of plane shifts on <strong>Unblessed<\/strong>, non-<strong>Adventurers<\/strong>\u2026.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Unblessed<\/strong> wandering into or abducted into the <strong>Faefree<\/strong> very quickly lose the ability to track time and eventually lose memories from outside the <strong>Faefree<\/strong>. After a long enough time they will be absorbed by the realm, sometimes becoming flora or fauna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Unblessed<\/strong> brought into the <strong>Duskrealm<\/strong> are drained of their health, their mental faculties, and their personality. Many who have returned to <strong>Vega<\/strong> have lost their color, are emaciated, and often in a state of confusion, depression, and in some cases catatonic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Unblessed<\/strong> brought to the <strong>Liminal City<\/strong> most often find their psyche shattered.
