Duskrealm
The Duskrealm is a dead shadow world of Vega that is ruled by the psychopomp and God of the realm, the Mother of Whispers. All dead have echoes of themselves present in the Duskrealm and while it is home to many dark monsters and horrors, it can also be a place of peace for the dead.
To access the Duskrealm, visit the crossroads of any cemetery at the setting of the sun. Recite a poem and the shadows will reveal a path to follow, known as the Silent Road.
No matter how long players spent on the Silent Road or in the Duskrealm, only one night will pass
There are no reflections in the Duskrealm
All healing is halved while in the Duskrealm
Sunlight weakness/sensitivity for half of the time spent in the Duskrealm after return, also looking deathly — known as Duskburn
An attack on an inhabitant of the Duskrealm (or any undead in Vega) has a +1 Bonus if the weapon is silver
To open a gate to the Duskrealm
1) Be at a cemetery crossroads at dusk
2) Offer something dead (bone)
3) Offer living blood (hand cut)
4) Chant “ I have never been alive x 3” “ I am going to sleep and there is no tomorrow”
To exit the Duskrealm
- Be at a cemetery crossroads at any time
- Break the bone that was offered
- Offer living blood (hand cut)
- Chant “I have always been alive x 3” “I am waking up to a new day”
The rhyme used to enter or leave the Duskrealm has different patterns in different cultures so it is likely the intention behind the words is more powerful than the specific password itself.
