8.11 Famous Organizations

The Adventurer’s Guild– Continent wide and governed by the Champions of the continent, the Adventurer’s Guild handles licensing of Adventurers and Adventure Bounties.

The Liminal Guild– A secret society of Blessed running continent wide access into and through the Liminal City and the academic study of the Liminal City through archaeomancy and cartography.

Merchant Guilds: Some set up shop in cities, some have trading posts along routes, some have a license pass to trade in certain regions. Seafarers, Purple Sash, Cartwheel, The 10 Families, White Baggers, Veerus Slavers, Eleleni,

Mercenary Groups: Glorybones, Chained Blades, Blue Fascii, 77 Stars, 

Crime Families: Choii Syndicate (South East (mostly vampires). Brigby Firm (North West),  GuruGuru (South West), the Claws (South),  6 Fingers (North East), the Old Ways (Central)

Pirate Crews: Morning Death, Breezy Boys, Empty Nets, Hag’s Milk, 

Famous Adventuring Crews: Keeper of the Cairns, Elven Echo, Fellowship of Friendship

Silver Clover– a group dedicated to annihilating all vampires

The GnoDwa Alliance– a large alliance of Gnomes and Dwarves working for their collective protection and betterment.

Beefy Boys– the Order for the Castigation of the Weak. Group focused solely on increasing their physical strength. Most often found at Strongman competitions or completing feats requiring impressive strength.

Shoal Kings– organization of deep sea divers in the business of shipwreck recovery. Their ability to maintain calm in the darkest depths of the sea and face the unfathomable horrors in the deep without breaking into insanity has made them figures of respect and renown as the most fearless people on the continent.

The Wives of Orfen– a collective of female assassins who kill men who are believed to have wronged the women in their lives. Only victims have been male.

Ice Runners– As a symbol of dominance and wealth the nobility of the Capital of the Empire cooled their drinks with ice from Nuul and P’nau. Ice runners are ornamentally decorated runners who, for purposes of tradition, do not use any time-space delivery methods such as a Liminal Guide. They harvest blocks of ice from the frozen North and hand deliver them, at great personal danger and fatigue, to the Capital City.
