2.2 Actions

Actions– players have 3 actions on their turn

MoveA player can move their distance, typically 3 squares. (Squares are roughly 2m)
UseA player may use an item or potion or interact with something within their reach like a switch or door.
SearchInvestigate the area around you for anything of importance.
AttackAttack with melee (within 1 spot, or 2 with a reach ability) or distance range (more than 1 spot away) physical attack. Choose a target within range.
CleaveThis occurs in some situations where a player kills an enemy and is able to continue the remainder of the damage to a nearby enemy.
CastCast a magic spell. (some spells may take more than one action.
GrabGrab a target that is your size or smaller by rolling a tier handicap against them. The victim cannot move but retains other actions, and may be dragged at half your distance. A willing companion doesn’t need a roll. (a player begins to fall or needs to be pulled from a battle)
ShovePush a target that is your size or smaller by rolling a tier handicap against them. The victim is moved back one space. A willing companion doesn’t need a roll. (help getting a space ahead, moving an incapacitated ally out of danger)
WithdrawExit from melee range without triggering a Chance Attack.
DodgeRaise your defense one tier until your next turn.
DefendAdd a level to a neighboring allies defense until your next turn.
EscapeIf a player has been grabbed they can attempt to escape the hold.
HideStay hidden from enemy view by rolling a tier handicap against them. Attacking from being hidden can surprise an enemy.
SneakMove while staying hidden at half distance.
UnsheathPlayers who did not have their weapons ready at the start of a battle (surprised or tricked) must pull out their weapons initially to then use. Unsheathing weapons out of battle may initiate combat.
ReadyPlan a triggering event for your Action.

Reactions– players can have 1 reaction per turn

Chance AttackAn enemy leaving battle within your reach can provoke an Attack action.
Readied ActionWhen the specified event triggers you may do your readied action.
Grab or ShoveOn a willing companion, Grab or Shove can be used as a reaction on a nearby ally. (falling rocks, bridge breaks)
